WordPress FeedBurner Plugin

I’m finding that plugins for WordPress seem to constantly pop up into the radar. There are so many useful ones it’s hard to keep up with all the installs and setups. Here is another one that I’ll get going eventually.

RSS Menu (helps users add a feed to their aggregator)

quickSub is a cool little JavaScript that makes your RSS feed link come to life with one-click subscription links to the most popular aggregators. Once your reader places they’re mouse over your XML link they are presented with a ton of choices.

Another element I’d like to add at some point.

Julian Beever is an English artist who’s famous for his art on the pavement of England, France, Germany, USA, Australia and Belgium. Beever gives to his drawing an anamorphose, his images are drawn completly deformed which give a 3D image when viewing on the right angle.

Audioscrobbler take information from your music player (eg iTunes) and find similar artists you might like. I haven’t been using it long enough to say how good it is. We shall see.

Paper Table

It’s this kind of design that makes you say “wow” outloud, even though there is no one else around to hear you. See the Matt Gagnon Studio for more.

Something about Matt Gagnon’s work is just indefinably right. He seems to have a penchant for design feng shui; an innate sense of the alchemy of form and material. Whatever it is, Matt Gagnon’s pieces are striking, elegant and original.

The Motorola Franklin (RAZRberry)

RAZRberry

When the Motorola Razr came out I was tempted to get my first cellphone. As cool as that phone was, I now have something far better to drool over. I know that it’s going to be really tough to resist when this baby comes out. I had figured that I would finally get a cellphone when the PDA integration was complete. That time has probably come, all that’s left is that pesky issue of price. I think that in Canada, the Razr is still around $500. That fact seems to be the only thing which is forcing me to stay off the whole cellphone bandwagon for now. Cool stuff is expensive, who would have thought?

Last we heard, Motorola was working on a Blackberry-killer type qwerty candybar that was going to be done in the style of the RAZR, which some were referring to as RAZRberry. Well, we’ve got the exclusive for ya: the device is codenamed the Franklin, and will have quad-band GPRS/EDGE, 128MB flash and 64MB RAM memory, Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, MiniSD slot, 2.4-inch 320 x 240 65k color screen, and will apparently run Windows Mobile 5.0. Oh, and did we mention it’s freaking 112 x 64 x 11.5mm (4.4 x 2.5 x 0.45-inches) and won’t weigh more than 115g (4oz)? So this is what it feels like to be in love.
