Reminder to Self: Slow Down on the Caffeine by Flipped Out
This species of tarsier is most commonly found on Samar, Leyte, Bohol, and Mindanao in the Philippines. They are found in areas of tall grasses, bushes, bamboo shoots, and small trees in tropical rainforests. They are arboreal and nocturnal. They spend the day hiding in dense vegetation and sleeping in trees. At night they emerge to move about and hunt for prey.

Take a look at this Adidas commercial featuring basketball star Kevin Garnett. The visuals are interesting, but you have to wonder if Adidas ever sits back and contemplates just how a reverse human pyramid will sell more of their new sneakers.

“Bridge Traffic Beauty” by carolyn_in_oregon
I was at a gathering today when I struck up a conversation with a man who described his job as a “commute helper.”
“OK, what exactly is a commute helper?” I asked
“I help people have a smooth and quick commute,” he replied.
“How do you do that?” I asked
“I sit in their car, ” he said with a smile…

Researchers at University of Delaware have developed a form of liquid armor which can protect the entire body as opposed to just the chest like current kevlar vests.
The liquid — called shear thickening fluid is actually a mixture of hard nanoparticles and nonevaporating liquid. It flows normally under low-energy conditions, but when agitated or hit with an impact it stiffens and behaves like a solid. This temporary stiffening occurs less than a millisecond after impact, and is caused by the nanoparticles forming tiny clusters inside the fluid. “The particles jam up forming a log jam structure that prevents things from penetrating through them,” Wagner explains.

“Me and Louie’s Sister” by Daniel Hammonds
This guy is amazing… he has created a photo-realistic image using just Photoshop 6.0 and a mouse… no graphics tablets here. Pure talent.
He has also created a nice step-by-step tutorial on how it was created.
I’m not sure if this image can take Bert Monroy’s masterpiece, but the detail and realism in this painting are incredible… especially with just a mouse.

Update: Since the original link seems to be dead, try looking at the gif below.

This is how it works: just stare at the dot for 30 seconds. This is animated gif file, that keeps repeating infinitely. After about 20 seconds, grey scaled image of Spanish castle will appear, but as your eyes adapt to the inverted image you were seeing first, you will see black and white image change to colour!
Here is also a video of the illusion.

There is no subtle way to say this: Brian Walker plans to shoot himself nearly 20 miles into the air aboard a homemade rocket launched from what could be the world’s largest crossbow. (Seriously.)
I’m not sure what’s more dangerous: not wearing a helmet in a rocket propelled plane or the giant crossbow fitted to the back of a pickup truck.
