I now have one more thing to do before I die.
The Macau Sky Tower is located in the former Portuguese colony of Macau, now part of the People’s Republic of China. It was created by casino billionaire Stanley Ho Hung-Sun after he saw a similar tower in Auckland, New Zealand. Measuring 338 m (1,109 ft) in height from ground level to the highest point, the Macau Tower features a number of extreme actives, including the skywalk, mast climb, sky jump, and of course, the ever popular bungee jump.
The leap is taken from the main observation deck, 233 meters (765 feet) above the ground. This happens to currently be the world’s highest bungee jump from a standing structure (there are “higher” jumps). There are a few videos of the jump after the jump.

Some other facts about the tower:
- It was officially opened in 19th December 2001.
- The steel mast on top is 90 meters tall.
- It was built on reclaimed land.
- It is currently 14th highest free-standing telecommunication tower in the world, and the tenth tallest free-standing structure in the world (eighth tallest in Asia).
- The tower is designed to resist 300 km/h winds.
I got a little excited just watching this video. I bet you have a longer free fall time then most beginner skydiving jumps.
The tower also does a “sky jump” activity, where you have a more controlled plunge.
Jump from the outer rim of the Macau Tower, 233 meters above ground. Enjoy a 17-second flight while reaching a speed of nearly 75 km/hr. Based upon the technology of fan descenders, clients are able to reach high speeds and then slow down for a comfortable landing speed before landing on the ground. This is the “Highest Commercial Decelerator Descent” in the world and recognized by Guinness World Records.
