Super Powers

Super Powers, directed by John Mitchell and Jeremy Kipp Walker, tells of a young married couple who turn to dressing up as super heroes (specifically Batman and Wonder Woman) to spice up life in the bedroom. However, when a situation forces them out of their apartment and onto the streets, these two may just wind up saving a lot more than their sex life. Super Powers won Best Narrative Short Film at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival…

The above clip reminded me of another quasi-superhero film:

Les Franken (Michael Rapaport) leads a painfully unremarkable life as a metermaid until he enrolls in a drug study for an experimental anti-depressant. An unexpected side effect of the drug convinces Les he is developing special powers and must quit his job to answer his new calling in life… Superhero. A very select group of people in life are truly gifted. Special is a movie about everyone else.

If you ever have a chance, it’s worth a view. It’s not Dark Knight, but it does have some interesting moments.
