Base Jumping off the Burj Dubai: Tallest Structure in the World

… in May, a Brit and a French­man snuck on to the under-construction Burj Dubai and base-jumped from it at 650 meters up. Now, there’s video avail­able of their infil­tra­tion, jump and sub­se­quent escape. The footage from up top and the jump is just incred­i­ble stuff.

  • “The stress comes while you’re waiting” — that is so true and so mag­nif­i­cently poignant in com­par­i­son to the actual freefall. There is a les­son in com­mit­ment and exe­cu­tion in that but that can wait, for now, I will focus on how cool this video really is…

    The Burj Dubai is a mod­ern mar­vel of engi­neer­ing it stands at 818 metres tall. The Burj Dubai will have its grand open­ing on the 1st of Decem­ber this year.
