… in May, a Brit and a Frenchman snuck on to the under-construction Burj Dubai and base-jumped from it at 650 meters up. Now, there’s video available of their infiltration, jump and subsequent escape. The footage from up top and the jump is just incredible stuff.

“The stress comes while you’re waiting” — that is so true and so magnificently poignant in comparison to the actual freefall. There is a lesson in commitment and execution in that but that can wait, for now, I will focus on how cool this video really is…

The Burj Dubai is a modern marvel of engineering it stands at 818 metres tall. The Burj Dubai will have its grand opening on the 1st of December this year.
